Evangelical Missiological Society 2012 Call for Papers

Evangelical Missiological Society 2012 Call for Papers
Theme:  Missionary Methods

In recognition of the 100th anniversary of the publication of Roland Allen’s missionary classic, Missionary Methods: St. Paul’s or Ours?, EMS is hosting regional meetings and a national gathering with the theme “Missionary Methods.”

Papers that reflect biblical, theological, missiological, historical, and practical discussions related to missionary methods are desired.  This includes reflections on current evangelical missionary methodology, case studies, multi-discipline research- and survey-based papers, as well as studies that build upon field-based research or in-field missionary experience.  Papers that offer a theological critique, historical analysis, or the contemporary implications of Roland Allen’s classic work are also encouraged.

The presentation protocol of the Evangelical Missiological Society is that all potential presenters for the 2012 annual meeting must first submit and present papers in their regions.  Please contact your Regional Vice President for additional instructions and the dates of your regional meeting.

For more information see the 2012 EMS Call for Papers.

From the desk of the EMS President

Christian Greetings,

May I share with you the exciting news that the 2012 Lifetime of Service Award will be given to Dr. David J. Hesselgrave?  Dr. Hesselgrave was the driving force behind the founding of EMS.

The celebration will be part of the program of the North America Missions Leaders Conference (Sept. 20-22, 2012) at the O'Hare Marriott Hotel, Chicago. The conference theme is Recalibrate: Adjusting Mission Methods to Today's Realties.

In recognition of the 100th anniversary of the publication of Roland Allen’s classic book, “Missionary Methods: St. Paul’s or Ours?”  EMS is hosting regional meetings and a national gathering with a focus on “Missionary Methods.”

I trust many of you will actively participate in the EMS regional meetings.  We have eight chapters in various parts of USA and Canada for fellowship and professional development.  For specific information, please visit the regional pages on our website www.EMSweb.org.

May this New Year bring you joy and peace while seeking to serve our Lord faithfully.

Enoch Wan
