Dear Friends:
This past month in October, 2011, EMS had its national meeting in conjunction with the North American Mission Leadership Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. At this year’s meeting our EMS participants meet to elect new Regional VPs. Dr. David Diaso, who served with EMS for ten years, stepped down to pursue a return to his missionary field of Mexico. We celebrate with David his ten years of active participation and leadership for our Rocky Mountain Region.
The role of VP has now come to me, Dale Wolyniak. I am thankful for this opportunity to serve and assist with the missional efforts of EMS. Perhaps a little background would help at this point.
Our family has been involved in world missions for most of our ministry career. We served as pastors in the United States, in Missouri and Colorado, four churches in all, two of them church plants. Our overseas ministry found us teaching at a Bible school in the Marshall Islands of Micronesia, and then in Southeast Asia working as English instructors. We completed a total of ten years of foreign service and then returned to Colorado to the pastorate. I also served for three years as the Member Care and Partner Relations Director for a non-profit in Afghanistan and was based stateside, making trips to the field to work with our teams and staff.
My educational background is as follows: Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Wildlife Management, Michigan Technological University; Master of Arts in Missiology, Assemblies of God Theological Seminary; the Master of Divinity equivalency and a full Doctor of Ministry from New Geneva Theological Seminary (PCA).
I have been an affiliate faculty with Colorado Christian University for the past ten years, and three years with the Nazarene Bible College. I have also taught two years online with the University of Phoenix, teaching World Religions. For two years I was a counselor to pastors and their families and missionaries at Focus on the Family, with the Church and Clergy Department.
My wife and I have three grown daughters and three grandchildren and reside in Monument, Colorado. I enjoy hunting and fly fishing, as well as reading in theology and missions.
NOTE: We will be announcing our Annual Regional EMS meeting, which will be in April 2012. Details to follow.
His,
Dr. Dale Wolyniak Rocky Mountain Region VP
