Dear EMS member,

It is my pleasure to invite you to the 2010 Regional Meeting of the South Central Region of the Evangelical Missiological Society.  This year's topic is "Diversity in Missions" (see below). The many ways in which cross-cultural issues and inter-cultural issues relate to our work as missionaries, or in achieving the mission of the church will provide a very rich area of study for us together.

This is a call for papers.  It would be great for you to propose a paper topic by using the form below.  Please reply by email or call me directly to discuss the details of your research interest.  There will be opportunities for a wide variety of papers at our meeting this spring.  Please look at the documents below for more information about the kind of topics that might be interesting.  Even if your research is on a different sort of topic, I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your research idea with you.

Our regional meeting will take place in New Orleans on Feb 26-27.  We will meet at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, which will be in its post-Katrina splendor.  Our meetings are concurrent with the ETS regional meeting which should allow for some interesting synergy.  Their topic is Christology and biblical scholar Craig Blomberg will be a keynote speaker.  The full address and a map is available at:  http://www.etsjets.org/region/Southwestern

So, please calendar the date to join us in New Orleans, and get back to me with your proposals for research.
